Donate to Solent University bursary schemes
Written by Solent University
Following the success of last year’s Giving Tuesday, as a charity we’re delighted to announce we are once again taking part in this global day of charitable giving. On Tuesday 3 December you can get involved with Giving Tuesday at Solent and make a real difference.
Last academic year over 400 alumni, staff and friends supported Solent students through donating money to fund 17 Local Student Bursaries and giving over 300 hours of volunteering.
This year, for every one Local Student Bursary available, over four students applied, meaning many students are still without the support of this essential bursary.
Before 3 December
Make your #GivingTuesdayPledge on social media and share how you are going to support Giving Tuesday on 3 December at Solent. Help us spread the message.
There are many ways you can get involved on the day. Pledge your support now:
Make your #GivingTuesdayPledge to donate to the Local Student Bursary Scheme
Support the next generation of students from our local community. No matter the amount, every donation counts. On the day you will be able to donate at our Giving Tuesday stalls around campus and online.
Make your #GivingTuesdayPledge to fundraise for Solent students and take on the challenge of the ABP Southampton Marathon
Last year 23 runners raised funds for the Local Student Bursary Scheme. This year, you can be part of the team that takes on the challenge. On the day you will be able to sign up to secure your free running space at our Giving Tuesday stalls around campus and online.
Make your #GivingTuesdayPledge to volunteer to support Solent students and our local community
Solent staff and students can support a project in our local community.
Alumni, there’s a range of activities you can help us with. From mentoring, to acting as an ambassador, guest lecturing and sharing your story. Find out more and register your interest to be an alumni volunteer.
