Milton Keynes Community Foundation have taken #GivingTuesday to a different level.

For the past two years they have hosted the #GivingTuesday cup, pitting local businesses against one another in a series of challenges to raise some serious cash for local charities.

Nine local businesses took part in 2015, including Metro, Fossil and InterDirect and competed in a series of challenges including rock climbing, football and indoor skiing! Each team was not only tasked with demonstrating their sporting prowess, but was also asked to help raise money for the MK Community Foundation, which supports local people working to make a real difference to vulnerable isolated and disadvantaged people in the area.

The challenge was a huge success and MK Community Foundation were the second most popular organisation on Twitter on #GivingTuesday behind @GivingTuesdayUK. Not only that, but they raised over £5,000 for MK Community Foundation’s surviving winter appeal, which helped to prevent winter deaths in the community.
