This year we’re asking our supporters to take a packed lunch to work on #givingtuesday.

Why? Well, we are the only Independent foodbank in Stockport, Cheshire and we’re workign hard to help people in our local community.

We have been around for 4 years serving some of the most deprived and disadvantaged areas. We offer so much more than food parcels – we also pass on donated pots & pans to cook the food in – along with crockery & cutlery. We also work extensively with homeless people & refugees in our area, passing on donations of clothing, toiletries, bedding & small household items.

We have to find every single penny to keep our food banks running, and we have four in total. Foodbanks are getting busier and busier. With the recent release of the film ‘I, Daniel Blake’, we hope that you will appreciate how easy it is to become a victim of a poverty trap. Foodbanks are a very prominent feature in 2016 and as a charity we see the need, not the cause. We are hoping that you will help us raise some vital funds this #givingtuesday by donating the money you’d normally spend on your lunch to us. Instead of spending, you can take in a packed lunch and use your savings to help someone else in need. Find our how you can donate to us here.
