The Children’s Heart Surgery Fund supports Children born with heart disease and serves the whole of Yorkshire, the Humber and North Lincolnshire.
This year the team came up with the idea to link #GivingTuesday with their annual Fire Walk event.
The event sees brave volunteers and some of the CHSF staff face the fear of walking on fire in order to collect donations. Money raised will go towards providing expensive equipment for children at Leeds Congenital Heart Unit.
“Walking over fire is without doubt one of the most thrilling extreme events that a person could take part in. Call it a right of passage, a test of faith or bravery – we see it as a great excuse to try something new this #givingtuesday, whilst raising vital funds for our charity.” – The CHSF team
The event will take place on Thursday 24th November, but supporters are asked to celebrate the feat by giving a special donation on #givingtuesday.
You can find out more about the FireWalk by visiting CHSF’s website here and you can donate at www.chsf.org.uk/donate.
