We got involved with #GivingTuesday through work with our charity clients. We get to see so much of the amazing work that goes on behind the scenes and wanted to utilise our skills to create something of use to all charities.

Think Experience was created after reading about a gap in digital skills in the charity sector in the recent NPC report ‘Charities Taking Charge’. Not all charities can afford to work with a digital experience agency to help them design and deliver their next website or digital product. Although information exists on areas such as UX, websites and digital products, it’s not always presented in the best way. We have created a series of individual chapters containing techniques, strategies and tools designed to act as a knowledgeable companion which helps charities on their journey to producing digital products.

Firmly grounded in Experience Design, the chapters take readers through an entire design process which positions users at the core. From establishing and prioritising users, goals and ideal paths, to enabling frictionless interactions and test plans, Think Experience offers actionable advice and insight that charities can implement themselves.

We will be making a hard copy of Chapter One available to all the #givingtuesday charity partners. This and other chapters are also available to download for free at https://yoyodesign.com/charity-ebook-sign-up/

By giving away some of our design thinking for free, we hope to help define a brighter digital landscape for charities in the future. Most importantly, this tool should help to ensure that charities maximise the value that can be gained from digital technologies – and improve the impact they make on a daily basis to the causes and lives they care about the most.
