In the run up to Giving Tuesday 2022 we wanted to highlight a way in which charitable organisations can help their limited funds to go further in supporting their local communities, during these difficult times.

In Kind Direct is a charity that believes everyone deserves access to life’s essentials and that no usable product should go to waste. That’s why they redistribute consumer products donated by companies to thousands of charitable organisations – from charities to community centres, food projects and schools – across the UK.

Whether you need toilet roll or toys, In Kind Direct can help save organisations money on essential items, so more funds can be focused on support and services.

They’re currently running their Powered by Kind campaign, to urge more charitable organisations to join their network, and to encourage more companies to donate products to support them.

Organisations like Chance Changing Lives which was the first community pantry to open in Cheshire back in October 2018. It provides access to food and household items once a week for 150 families as well as offering other support services, such as counselling and debt advice.

They now rely on In Kind Direct for essentials such as toilet roll, washing up liquid, laundry items, disinfectant, shampoo, body wash, nappies, baby wipes and tea bags for its members.

As the cost-of-living crisis escalates, In Kind Direct’s work is more important than ever. You can sign up today for free to access products to give to people in your community this Giving Tuesday.
